Akshay Hari Om Bhatia, known professionally as Akshay Kumar, is the stage name of Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia, an Indian actor, producer, martial artist, and philanthropist who works in Bollywood. Kumar's early career included a minor role in the 1987 film Aaj and a leading role in the 1991 film Saugandh. His breakthrough came in 1992 with the first film in the Khiladi series.
