Timothy Francis Robbins is an Oscar-winning actor, director, writer, and producer. Born in California in 1958, he was raised in New York City's Greenwich Village and studied drama at UCLA. In 1981, he graduated with honors and formed the experimental theater group The Actors' Gang, which he still serves as artistic director. Robbins has won an Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Mystic River.
